Six daily connections with a travel time of 3.5 hours have been offered between Zurich main station and Munich main station since 2021. The reason for the acceleration is the closing of the electrification gap in the Deutsche Bahn section between Geltendorf and Lindau. To draw attention to this, SBB Personenverkehr has wrapped four of its Re 421 locomotives in dark blue advertising clothing. The locomotives are currently mainly used in front of freight trains.
